Title: Loan Defaulter
Post by: saptarshi@79 on April 04, 2017, 08:08:39 AM
One of my friend borrowed Rs 3 lacs from me on 17th Nov 2016 stating he is facing down in his business and promised me to return the same amount also had signed me cheque ( without mentioning Date). The amount was transferred via NEFT to his company's account. He promised to repay the entire amount within a month.Since then there has been numerous false commitments from him he has also texted me many dates about repaying the amount. I have all the SMS details. Finally he has put an date on the cheque mentioning 17th April 2017. Now he calls me up and says that he will not be able to repay the amount before May 2017 and asks me not to drop the cheque. Advice required in this matter what shall be my step.

He did not deny yet the repayment, hence wait for now before you think of legal options
