Title: Limitation act of 1963
Post by: curiousv on May 23, 2017, 04:48:45 PM
I want to know if there is any exception to one year limit of for filing action against 'For compensation for an illegal, irregular or excessive distress. of limitation act of 1963 - schedule item no. 79

Are there any circumstances in which action can be considered even after 1  year limit is passed?

This is regarding child abuse and sexual abuse  matter... ..

In these cases victims sometimes don't tell any one or come forward for many years so 1 year limit is too short.

Hii
Limitation Act, 1963, however, provides the period of filing up appeals. It states that the appeals against a decree or order can be filed in a High Court within ninety days and in any other court in thirty days from the date of the decree or order appealed against.
