The Indian Supreme Court has continuously broadened the scope of Article 21 by construing the \u201cright to life\u201d as the right to live with dignity, making dignity a fundamental constitutional value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"scope-of-dignity-under-article-21\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Scope_of_Dignity_Under_Article_21\"><\/span>Scope of Dignity Under Article 21<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When considered in the context of senior citizens\u2019 rights in India, dignity includes their right to live a life of social inclusion, autonomy, respect, and care. The Indian Constitution, through Article 21 (Right to Life and Personal Liberty), implicitly guarantees the right to live with dignity.
