is His Messenger, establishing prayer, giving zakat, fasting in Ramadan, and performing Hajj&#8221; (Hadith in Sahih Bukhari and Muslim).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>This establishes Hajj as a Obligation<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Islamic scholars agree that Hajj is fard (obligatory) once in a lifetime for every Muslim who meets the conditions. Hajj is not obligatory on those who are mentally incapable.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Adulthood<\/strong><\/td><td>Hajj is obligatory only for adults. Children may perform Hajj, but it will be considered voluntary, not the obligatory Hajj.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Financial Ability<\/strong><\/td><td>The person must have enough wealth to cover the expenses of travel, accommodation, food, and other needs, without neglecting the needs of their family left behind. This is called istita\u2018ah (ability).<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Physical Ability<\/strong><\/td><td>The person must be physically capable of performing the rituals. If a person is permanently unable to perform Hajj due to severe illness or old age, some schools of jurisprudence permit appointing another person to perform Hajj on their behalf (Hajj al-Badal).<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Safety of the Journey<\/strong><\/td><td>The route to Makkah must be safe. Many scholars consider delaying Hajj without a valid reason sinful, while others allow some delay if one intends to fulfil the obligation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"types-of-hajj\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Types_of_Hajj\"><\/span>Types of Hajj<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Islamic jurisprudence describes three types of Hajj:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Hajj al-Ifrad<\/strong> \u2013 Performing only Hajj without combining it with Umrah.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hajj al-Qiran<\/strong> \u2013 Performing Hajj and Umrah together with one intention.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hajj al-Tamattu<\/strong> \u2013 Performing Umrah first, then Hajj in the same season.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Each type has specific rules, but all fulfil the obligation of Hajj.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"rituals-of-hajj\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Rituals_of_Hajj\"><\/span>The Rituals of Hajj<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The rituals are detailed in fiqh and must be performed in the correct order:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Ihram<\/strong> \u2013 Entering the sacred state with the intention of Hajj.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tawaf al-Qudum<\/strong> \u2013 Tawaf al-Qudum (arrival circumambulation), performed by some pilgrims depending on the type of Hajj.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sa\u2018i<\/strong> \u2013 Walking between Safa and Marwah.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Standing at Arafat (Wuquf)<\/strong> \u2013 The most important pillar;
