A third year student of BA LLB (Hons.) in NMIMS, School of Law, Navi Mumbai. I have been reading about various provisions which exist for the protection of women from domestic violence and rape, but I never came across any provision, law, or a case where a male was given the same protection from violence or rape or sexual assault.

After this observation, I decided to research more on the topic and came across various gender biased laws in India. After that, I have made my mind that I would like to contribute towards the betterment of the society as a whole and work not only for the rights of women but of men too. I am a firm believer of equality and therefore, I think that there should be laws for protection of men from domestic violence, sexual assault, and rape.
