Gaurav Gautam

My name is Gaurav Gautam, and I am a law student from ICFAI University, Dehradun. I live in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh from where I have done my schooling at Lucknow Public School. Well, I am not one of those students who are very sure about their career perspective from the very beginning, I put a lot of thought before making my decisions. I was a science (PCM) student who is expected to be a full-fledged engineer, unfortunately, I didn't turn out to be the one.

Instead, I changed my career path, which was unexpected to my parents. A drive to serve the people through legal means and attraction by the dynamics of the legal field, were the reasons, why I chose law. In my days in law school, I have participated and won several Moot courts, writings, debate competitions, and seminars, which have helped me grow confidence. Well, apart from academics I have a thing for sports, especially Volleyball is the one sport which takes me in for high spirits, and be it the Interschool or be it an inter-college competition, I have never left the chance of showing my game.

Everything at college was going well, I was learning a lot, but all those halcyon days turned transient as Covid hit us bad. Restricted due to pandemic plunged me into work from home, which made me write papers more ardently than before. One of the recent articles which I authored titled 'custodial: An infringement of human rights' was published in one of the proficient journals 'the Legal Service India'.

The Pandemic and the Lockdown has impacted the lives of many, including mine and hence I would say that stress won't help, a lot of us are in the same pool, but we can try to focus on our goals, which we always had, it's just that they have to be molded a bit as the situation demands, and keep working on ourselves. At least this is the idea that I pursue at times like these.
