The Tornado is a funnel shaped violently rotating column of air extending from the surface of earth to thunder cloud is called Tornado. Apart from definition of tornado. The Weather Department alerts every resident for upcoming disaster but have you thought if tornado took the Man-Made form, then what will happened.

The operation of black tornado this mission which is held on 26th November, 2008. The Mumbai Terrorist Attack. It was normal of for Resident of Mumbai but on 26, November about night 08:00 PM. The 10 members of Lashkar-E-Taiba a militant Islamic Organization from Pakistan Carried out 12 coordinated shooting & Bombing attack.

They Came through inflatable speedboat by hijacking Marathi Fisherman boat and killed 5 peoples on board. The assailants arrived at Colaba. The 10 members divided into 2-2 members. The Targets of Attacks was the: Leopold Café, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Cama Hospital, The Taj Mahal Palace & Tower, Oberoi Trident, Metro Cinema. These are the Famous Locations of Mumbai. But what was the intention to choose those locations.

Firstly, They Attacked on a Leopold Café the café is known as Popular Hangout for Foreign Tourists. At about 09:30 PM. The attack with Gunfire and Grenade, Explosions by terrorist. The café was extensively damaged. The Reuters Reporter Sourav Mishra was a first media witness of attack, suffered severe bullets injuries.

The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus it’s a one of the Historic Railway Terminus & UNESCO world heritage site in Mumbai.

The Taj Mahal Hotel Palace targeted because it’s a Heritage, five star and luxury. It’s also a popular staying place for Foreign Tourist.

The Cama Hospital the reason to shootout at Cama Hospital people those who suffering from injury approach to hospital the people not to come in hospital that’s why to Spread a Terror in a hospital as well.

The War was continued from Wednesday 26th November to Saturday 29th November.

The Operation Black Tornado

It was a National Security Guard (NSG) who held the operation successfully. This operation held on 29th November, 2008. The operation goal is to encounter the attackers at a Taj Mahal Palace and to rescue the hostages from Oberoi & Nariman point.

The NSG commandos arrived from Delhi, the naval helicopter conducted an Aerial Survey. The air force flew the NSG into Mumbai & Air – Dropped commandos at Nariman House.

The Real Hero of this Operation was the Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. He entered with 10 commandos & reached on 6th floor through staircase after the to much patience. They decided to take path of central staircase towards terrorist and hostage. As terrorist saw those commandos coming up, they started firing on them. Then Major Sandeep decided to chase the terrorist alone he managed all the corner all 4 terrorists to ballroom in Northen End of Taj Hotel. Single handily but sacrifice his life in course. Therefore, The Operation Black Tornado was Successful.

Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab

Kasab and his accompanied khan attacked on CST station. They moved attack on police vehicle at cama hospital in which the senior Mumbai Police Officers (Mumbai Anti – Terrorism squad chief Hemant Karkare, Additional Commissioner of Mumbai Police Ashok Kamte, and Encounter Specialist Vijay Salaskar were killed in Gun Battle. On 26th Nov, at about 10.00 PM. Khan & Kasab stole a silver Skoda Laura and drove towards Girgaon Chowpatty Beach.

The D B Road police received message from police control at about that 2 heavily armed men had gunned down commuters at CST. 15 policemen from D B Marg were sent to Chowpatty to set up a double barricade on Marine Drive. The Skoda reached to Chowpatty and it attempted a U-Turn. After giving 2-3 warning to surrendered by Maharashtra Police a shootout ensued and Khan was killed. But lay motionless acted as dead.

Assistant Sub Inspector Tukaram Omble armed only with Bamboo Stick (Laathi) moved towards car suddenly Kasab wakes up and shot him five times of machine gun. Omble held onto with his weapon, to enabling caught Kasab Alive. Literally, by taking 24 bullets wound in stomach Tukaram Omble died.

Overall, total 166 peoples were died and 300 peoples injured during attack.

After the attack Kasab was in custody with high security cell in Arthur Road Jail. During the trial of Kasab by Following the Principles of Natural Justice Audi Alteram Partem which means to hear the both sides. Adv. Abbas Kazmi was appointed as Defence Lawyer of Ajmal Kasab and Adv. Ujjwal Nikam argued in behalf of state. On 21st November, 2012 Kasab hanged in Yerawada Jail in Pune. It took 4 years to verify if he was culpable and then Hon’ble Supreme Court of India ruled to hang him.
