I am Rashmi Narasimhan, a second year B.com LLB (Hons) student from SASTRA Deemed to be University, Thirumalaisamudram. I am a hardworking person and a strong believer in stepping out of comfort zone and I always keep in mind that where there is no risk, there is no reward. As an introvert who fears speaking in front of so many people, I made sure that I did not miss any opportunity to step in front of everyone in my class and address them. I also participated in moot courts to overcome the same. I love reading and researching about everything under the sun.

I enjoy the feeling of understanding something that is very complex in nature which is one of the main reasons why I enjoy legal research so much. The laws being extremely dynamic in nature feels very complex in the beginning but once understood in the right way becomes more easier. I thoroughly enjo the effort that goes into understanding and applying the law. I did my schooling completey in Chinmaya Vidyalaya Anna Nagar. I was a part of the school choir as I am professionally trained in Carnatic Music for more than a decade now. I have performed concerts in sabhas and won many awards for the same.

Learning music boosted my focus, consistency, and patience. It made me understand the importance of hard work. Apart from singing, I enjoy reading, teaching and playing badminton. Reading books of various genres improved the speed in which I can comprehend huge chunks of information in a short time. Teaching taught me how to put my thoughts into words in a way that is easier for everyone to understand.

I am a member of the Public Relations team of my college's annual cultural event 'Kuruksastra'. It again helps me deal with various people at a time. As a member I was asked to sell t shirts to the students which required a lot of convincing to do from my part.
