Sujoy Paul is currently working as an Associate at Bhattacharyya & Associates, Advocates & Consultants. He graduated with a BBA-LLB (H) from Techno India University, Kolkata, achieving a CGPA of 9.73 and securing the position of Department Topper. Throughout his academic journey, Sujoy has gained substantial legal experience through prestigious internships and research roles. He has interned at the District Court, served as an Animal Law Researcher at NALSAR University, Hyderabad, and worked at the Supreme Court of India as well as under Hon’ble Mr. Justice T.S. Sivagnanam, Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court. He has also had the privilege of interning under Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjiv Khanna, Chief Justice of India; Hon’ble Mr. Justice M.M. Sundresh, Judge, Supreme Court of India; and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Hiranmoy Bhattacharyya, Judge, Calcutta High Court. In addition, he completed an internship under Ms. Aishwarya Bhati, Additional Solicitor General of India. His corporate law exposure includes an internship at Fox & Mandal, one of India’s leading law firms, where he worked on corporate and commercial law matters. He has also pursued specialized legal training, completing courses on Bail Drafting from Lawctopus and the Indian Constitution from NALSAR University. Sujoy’s academic contributions are noteworthy—he has authored 13 articles, two book chapters, and two manuscripts published in the Indian Journal of Law and Legal Research and the International Journal for Legal Research and Analysis. His legal writing has earned him five awards for legal blogs from Legal Service India. He has also actively participated in numerous national quiz competitions, further enriching his legal knowledge and analytical skills.
