Divorce : No-contact between friends agreement required?
« on: April 08, 2013, 10:53:19 PM »
Hi,

I'm John and I've a cousin sister.

She recently divorced & before divorce she was running a business with her husband and few friends.

On the divorce time, her husband made her sign on a white sheet in front of lawyers that she will not contact the business partners in future.

But the business is not active anymore. It is closed.

Is there any law to prevent her from contacting friends and doing business in future only because she signed on a plain white paper?

Please give your advice.

Thanks in advance.

John

the contract in the first place is invalid, it is against the very principle of right to trade  envisaged in the constitution.

she is free to do business/socialise with anyone she wishes to

I think there is no chance to contact them, because she already kept sign on that, so it is opposite to the rules. But my suggestion is first consult one lawyer, who is having well experiences in this type of cases, then tell everything about it, then he will find one good solution for us.
