Contract Rules
« on: April 21, 2013, 11:47:05 PM »
Please forgive me if this the wrong place to post this message, but I couldn't find a section for Contracts/Agreements

Hello I am a freelancer who develops website for companies or individual

Now in September 2012 I was given my first assignment for developing a website for a company, now the client had asked me to sign a written contract in order for me to be given the work.

Now since I was a newbie, I didn't read the contract carefully and just signed it out of excitement(I know what I did was stupid  :-[).

It was after signing the contract that I realized the mistake, the client never provided any clear understanding of the work that needs to be done, he provided me the true vastness of the website after signing the contract.

Also since the contract is missing a Time frame or a Deadline clause, my client is just stretching the contract, at the time of signing it I thought that it will be over in max 3-4 months time, but now it is like the 7TH month and there is still 50% of the newly updated work is remaining. So by the looks of it I am stuck with a contract that will take another 6 months to be completed(if the client doesn't modify the requirement list  :'()

So can anyone please please help me out of this nightmare of a project????

Also can I not use the missing Deadline clause to my favor and delay the project???

I am also doing other projects simultaneously but this one is affecting my other projects and I would like to concentrate on my other projects. So can I simply delay this project for like 1-2 years time????

Thank You.
