Urgent help on affidavit
« on: May 17, 2017, 06:49:42 AM »
Hi ,
I am in the UK and in order to get duplicate certificate I was asked to produce affidavit that certificate was lost.
Can my father make an affidavit saying that my son's certificate was lost ?  If that isn't valid then what are the other options please?
Thanks,
DK

affidavit means a self declaration, how can your father give self declaration on your behalf, he can give of himself, you and only you can give for yourself.

You can get the affidavit prepared in UK and send it across. Your father cannot prepare the same on your behalf.

Dear Friend

You may swear an affidavit and get it signed before Indian Embassy Abroad or any other recognized public notary and sent it to your father to pursue the matter in regard to getting duplicate certificate.
