Advice on cheating, impersonation in govt exam
« on: December 16, 2013, 01:24:40 AM »
 Hi all,

One of my friend given money to one unknown person to appear on his behalf in a govt exam held in delhi center. That person got caught while cheating with phone in exam hall & principle called 100 and he is  under arrest...He gone to exam hall with original documents of my friend and now delhi police submitted case and documents with the court...Money taken by that person returned by their relatives...

I want advice on maximum punishment my friend can get in this case...Can he get away with only fine or must have to serve some term jail....Also how much time will this process take as he is working in a pvt company in delhi... My friend has learnt a lesson, ready to say sorry and will never do such thing in life..he never thought all this can happen but done all this because he is trying for govt job from last 5 years and not getting selected and he has no other criminal record....

thanks in advance for giving you expert advice....

now that the matter is under police investigation and the imposter is behind bar, It is beyond sorry now.

law will take its course, let us know the section under which the matter has been booked.

it is only after that we can suggest a solution.

@ashok
thank you sir for replying...my friend not arrested but imposer is arrested and he accepted that he has taken money from my friend to appear in exam....my friends original documents caught with the imposer.....
I think ipc 420 is on the imposer........

Does my friend's mistake is also big crime,  can he get away by paying fine after legal procedure of years...
any chanced of that or jail is sure for my friend....we don't care about imposer whateven punishment he gets but my friend we want to save as his career is on stake...
