Partial Will by Late Father.
« on: January 21, 2014, 09:31:41 AM »
Kindly advise. (Late father, mother alive, one daughter - married, one son-married.)

Our late father has registered a WILL (under poorest health and dowry pressures) in 2012 (1 1/2 years after my sister's marriage) to my sister under "Stree Dhaan." This property is 50% of our total property under Late Father. This was revealed to me only after his death.

Now, our mother threatens to write another such WILL to my sister for the rest 50% property remaining outside the WILL of late father.

Q1. Under above circumstances - I will be left with 0% property. Does Hindu succession act prove useless compared to WILL in my case ?
Q2. My son (only grandson) was born before the death of my late father - is he not an additional inheritor apart from my surviving mother, sister and myself.

Thanks.
