Legal right of ancestral property
« on: March 31, 2014, 09:25:31 AM »
Hello,

I am new to this forum so if this is a repeated question please forgive me and appreciate your worthy advice. so my query is my grandfather owned a house in Hyderabad  from 1960's but on bond papers written in my grandfathers name as owner as there were not much importance for registration in 60's, but my uncle took this as advantage and sold the house to other people by forging signature of owner who has sold it to my grandfather, in 80's when my grandfather was no more, now it came to my notice that we had lived in that particular house for more than 35 years till 1995. so my question is can i challenge this bond paper in court which states my grandfather to be the owner of the house. and also we have all receipts such as electricity bills, house tax, water bills paid of more than 20 years with us.

Thanks,
Satish

Yes when property was sold my father was alive and we were staying in the same house. we had knowledge of it after almost 10 years because my uncle sold it to one of his friend, as this was never registered to my grandfather so my father also could not do much and my age was 4 years when it was sold and 14 when we came to know of it.

Thanks,
Satish
