Need advice on divorce
« on: April 22, 2014, 09:17:37 AM »
My uncle is 60 years old.He has lost his first wife 6 years ago and has 2 children(both adult) from her.he has remarried 4 years ago.Second wife is not working. After marriage second wife has started torturing my uncle for property, she beats him, uses abusive languages and does not allow him to mix with outside people. Now my uncle wants to divorce her.On divorce, what the second wife can have as alimony? Can she claim her share on all the property my uncle has(he has one home, one flat , some fixed deposits and his pension money). What should my uncle do so that the lady can get min share of his property. My uncle does not have any kid from second wife.

since he is 60 plus he is a sr citizen he can make a complaint to police for ill treatment. there are many sr citizen welfare NGo tell him to get in touch with them. regarding property distribution etc I cannot suggest, because, a very smart man just to escape giving his wife any money or property transferred his entire property. when after the matter was solved with his wife when he asked the person to give it back refused to do so. Now he has another case pending in court. so u decide what to do
