Married woman right in fathers property
« on: June 29, 2014, 11:34:06 PM »
My mother having 3 brothers. She is the youngest of all. My mothers father has a land on his name( It is self acquired Property of him), not ancestral property. He expired in 2009.My grand mother is alive. He wrote a will but stolen by my uncles. Now my mother brothers are saying she dont have any share in the land. They are not even giving any share to my grandmother also.My mother got married in 1984,August.Does my mother get the equal share as she is married before 1985 act ?. We are from Andhra Pradesh state.
What about the amendment act 2005 Hindu Succession says. Can my mother asks for equal share as it is self acquired property of my grand father?
