Easment Act
« on: January 26, 2015, 02:58:30 AM »
We have 100 year old building (only ground floor) in Chennai city.

On top of it our neighbour extended their bathroom (upto 32 sqft) illegally and now claiming easement rights stating that they enjoying it for 33 years. (Entrance is in his premise)

Also he sent a letter through advocate that if we demolish it we will be sued in court.

My neighbours land is a corner plot and does not depend (sun/air/path) on us.

His ultimate aim is to create problem (getting court stay) and snatch our land to merge it with his property

Please let me know how to face him
