I am planning to buy a site from a private layout in Tamilnadu.
The whole layout land was occupied by temple trust earlier. The owners were filed a case in local court and got it back.  Now they have made it as a layout and selling individual sites. I am planning to buy one site on it.

Beside that layout, still half of the land which belongs to the temple trust only.
Owner is claiming that the temple trust was occupied his land illegally, he filed a case and got it back on Dec-2010.
Now the layout is approved by Municipality, and they are selling sites.
I do not know, what was the actual dispute on the property.

My doubt is, after buying site from the layout,
Is there any chance in future that the temple trust goes to appeal it in high court to capture the land?
If yes, Is there a possibility that the individual site buyers loose their property future?

Please suggest, Thanks in Advance.

get the complete details of the case before purchase, also check if the appeal period is over or not before purchase

better to stay away from such disputed properties especially when got so many option these days.
a municipal or a panchayat approval plots are useless as a unapproved plots..you onl y will have enjoyment rights on them ...and the same only can be transferred.
better stick with CMDA or DTCP( if outside city limit) plots.
