Inherited property law clarification
« on: April 06, 2015, 11:58:13 PM »
We have a property (plot) inherited from grandfather which we had built house and were living till date. Now that is given for a joint venture apartment project where we are given 2 flats in return and which will take 4 years to complete. This is in my father's name and he had a will written earlier to transfer the plot to my mother's name after his life. But due to some issues between parents, he has now changed his will without our knowledge. We do not know what the change is. We want to know if it is possible to write a will to transfer to a third person other than us- his wife and daughter. Also, is it possible to sell the property without the knowledge or consent of us - his wife or daughter. Kindly advice what can be done in such case.
