Starting a small Playschool in Delhi
« on: May 03, 2015, 11:19:20 PM »
Hi

I live in Delhi and want to start a small Preschool/ Playschool for kids (before school joining) for age group  in a rented space (initially small space) near my residential area.
Working hour : 9:00 AM to 1 PM only
I have worked in school and other educational institutes
I am planning to employ 1-2 maids/ aaya for the initial stage.
Do I need to take any legal permission from local authority to run this small business ?
What other legal aspects I need to consider before starting up my preschool ?
Thanks in advance !

Dear Member,

Setting up and running a pre-school does not require any license/permission to be obtained from the education department. However, for the purposes of your business, you may have to set-up your business plan which will include the nature of your legal entity running the school and accordingly you may be required to obtain certain other licenses and permissions such as MCD, labour department, tax department, etc.

You may contact me at dk@dklegalsolutions.com, for further assistance and clarifications in this regard. For your reference, I am working for clients like Educomp, EuroKids, Edvance Pre-Schools, etc. for advising them on their educational institutions.

Regards

Dhruv Manchanda

You can also buy a franchise of a famous play school and start your own play school without much hassle.

Starting a playschool in Delhi is not easy as there are already lot of them. So, one has to beat the competition to stay in game. Moreover playschool admissions are throughout the year so there are less students. To make yourself different from others, you can try marketing and branding through online portal named Just Dakhila, they will also provide admission leads to you. http://justdakhila.com/
