Property claim law..
« on: June 10, 2015, 01:47:14 AM »
Hi.

I want to understand what is d law for a lady to claim property owned in co ownership by husband and inlaws.
I trust my hubby and inlaw both. But I am scared of my inlaws soft corner for my brother in law.
we had purchased a flat which has my husbands and my mother and father in laws name on papers.

I dont hav problem with that but i hav some questions:
1. Can in any condition my inlaws name this property on my brother in laws name without my husbands consent or knowledge?
2. In case they do so is it legal?
3. If my husband by his will makes my inlaws d sole owners of property without my knowledge or consent. In future will i hav any claim on the property? If yes under what condition?
4. If my husband and his parents own d property under what condition i hav the right to claim d property?

Please help me with d answers.

Regards.
deepika

1.your in laws can will or gift their share alone and not your husbands share
2.legal if they do as stated
3.no you cant lay any claim if he makes a will.if he dies intestate then you will get a share out of your husbands share along with other class 1 legal heirs
4.the answer is in 3 itself
