Waiting period for mutual divorce
« on: June 15, 2015, 03:38:14 AM »
Hi,

I got married in December , 2014.
My wife had an affair with a guy and even after marriage , she continued. She was caught and after that she did not want to continue living with me. We are living separately since April, 2014. I have approached her for counselling and everything went in vain. She does not want to continue.
I have decided to file for mutual divorce. I really loved her but she did not love me back.
Their family was ready to file false cases against me but the girl knows that I have proofs against her. So they kept quiet. Now we have agreed upon to file for mutual divorce.
Is there any way , I can speed up the process or I have to wait for a year of seperation to get a divorce.
What are the usual things happening like mediation etc .. after filing petition.
How long will it take after filing petition to get a divorce.
I don't want to give her any alimony or amount. Will Court direct me to give on its own.
She is employed and she is one who cheated me.

January 2016 you can file for mutual divorce.

regarding other settlements you have to mutually agree before filing the joint petition.
