Dear sir,
           I have an office on "Salami Rent" in the name of my grand father. In 2013 my grand father passed away.        now the owner is forcing to change the name and asking 7laks Ruppes for name transfer. And i am unable to pay such huge amount. I request you to guide me.

since your grandfather is no more the salami rent agreement also ends with his demise. now you have little choice legally, try to persuade the owner in some other way

One who acquire by paying lum sum amount for a place on salami rent isn't he becomes the owner of the place and also being heir will it be legally transfer in my name?  if yes then why shall i pay.

As far as my knowledge goes, sajami rent is heritable and so u have the right vested in you, name change is merely procedural. U can get it done through court if u r really ntersted.

To be sure, read through the agreement and if it contains a clause that it is heritable then need not pay any amount.

Dear sir,
We receive monthly receipt in the name of my grandfather. The office was taken in salami rent some 40 -50 years back and i dnt have agreement papers.
