Can an order I made online be cancelled after two months? The terms and conditions of the website did say that " We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any order for any reason". However, shouldn't there be a reasonable time limit for them to cancel especially since I had made the payment of around Rs 15,000 through card beforehand. They are going to refund the amount but they should I not be compensated for them sitting on my money for two months? Can I sue in Consumer court for mental agony?

As per your statement it is not clear that at the time of booking of specific article whether that article was available as on that date or not and reasons for cancelling the same.

Now, considering that your booked article was available as on that date and you have paid Rs.15000/- for same online. Then you have also a good case and you can approach to the District Forum, having its jurisdiction, as withholding your money for 2 months and later cancelling your order is absolutely unfair trade practice as well as deficiency of service on the part of the Trader. You can claim for compensation for causing harassment and mental agony and interest @ 12% p.a. on Rs.15000/-. If the trader has not refunded Rs.15000/- to you till now then you have a strong case and you can approach to Consumer Forum and pray for refund of Consideration money, compensation, interest @ 12% p.a. and cost of the case.
