My Wife Wants a divorce
« on: September 17, 2015, 10:34:34 AM »
Hello Everyone.. Me and my wife are married since 2011 and are going through a rough period and our marriage is on the rocks . Now my wife says she wants a divorce.. but i am not ready for a divorce. I still love her and can't imagine my life without her. We had to go through a lot of trouble to get married as her family was against it. But now for the last 10 months she has been with her family. The reason that has brought her to this decision is we hit each other  twice and that was in 2012 and regularly abused each other families and self. And now her brother has started to threaten me he says he wants me to come to India. I work outside India and it will be difficult for me to go to India due to work related commitments. Will it be safe if i go to  India or what should i do ? Please advise what should i do ?She is in India for last ten months with her parents in Mumbai. If i agree to mutual consent divorce will i have to go to india or i can just sign the papers and send it back to them and the court proceedings can be initiated. Or can i give power of attorney to my mother so she can represent me

If you divorce by mutual consent two court appearance is mandatory.
There is no way out.

All you have to do is cone to India for 1 day appear before judge.
Then after 6 months one more time that's all.

Tell your wife to engage a lawyer to do the legal work.

Divorce by mutual consent is the fastest and easiest way to divorce. If you divorce by mutual consent two court appearances is mandatory.
I have also faced my own bitter divorce battle.
