HUF property and divorce
« on: October 11, 2015, 01:02:39 AM »
Hello. my grandfather passed away and left will for huf property (our residence) to go to tauji and papa. They both divided the property and now it's owned by them only in their names. We all live in this house. I am going through difficult times with my wife and it is likely we divorce. Can she claim a share in the property ? We are all Hindu.
Thanks

No......... She can claim only her rights. If she is not self dependant then she can claim for her Maintenance.
