Sirs,

My father expired 20 years back and legal heirship certificate was issued by Sub-Registrar in Chennai.
The heirs are my mother, self, my siblings and my paternal grand father. My paternal grandmother expired before my father. We were minors then.

Being a Class II heir, legally my grandfather (now expired) should not be in the Legal Heirship certificate.

1. Should we file for a rectification request?

2. On enquiry at Registrar office, we were told to approach Court to get the rectification.
Request guidance on the procedure for rectification of Legal Heirship certificate.

Thanks and Regards,
