Mental and verbal harassment and conspiracy at a start up

HI,
I am female employee working in a startup in Noida, I had been facing gender discrimination as well as verbal and mental harassment since i joined the firm , on feb 22nd i was been verbally harassed by a male colleague who is a copywriter leading the design team, I went and complained to the HR but the HR's reaction was since its his first time i had to forgive him they were least bothered about the seriousness of the issue i had been shouted at in front of so many people on all the work using abusive language, i felt very humiliated i send a mail to our founder saying do i have to compromise on my self respect, i had been working with so many firms before this is my first time i am facing such a situation never such a situation happened to me, and now got to know that they are conspiring against me and ganging up and constant mental harassment is happening, and the worst complaint they set a meeting was on silly reasons , Please help me through i dont know how i can go legally about this matter

Hi
The problem is in a start up environment, everyone wants to succeed with the product/ business and they ignore certain statutory rules.
if your problem has not been addressed after you writing to the founder, then you need to seriously think about
a) filing a harassment case against the company and the manager
Being a start up the company cannot afford to have a bad reputation with employees, customers and public.

Sorry to hear your story and be strong. Legal steps that you can take are as follows:

1. lodge a complaint under the Sexual harassment at workplace act before the 'internal committee', if your company has one. If no, then also lodge a formal complaint to the company.
