Can married grand daughter claim in maternal property?
« on: April 06, 2016, 07:53:46 AM »
I am 35 year old married woman.  My  maternal grandmother (Nani) who is expired on 2011 had some land property in her name ,which my maternal  grandfather(Nana) bought on her name. My both maternal grandfather and maternal grandmother expired in year 2011 and 2013 intestate respectively. My maternal grandfather & mother has 5 living Sons and 2 deceased daughter.

I am daughter of my maternal grandmother (Nani) younger daughter , who is deceased on 12 May 2005.
My maternal uncles(Mama) are now selling ancestral property which were in the name of my maternal grandmother (Nani).  Can I claim my share in the said property as per Hindu Succession act amendment in Sept 2005 and Hindu Success Act 1956?

Is your mother alive than she can claim on it.
If not than you can stake a claim on what's your mother's share would be.
