Hello Friends,
I am planning to do a court marriage in India and need to give a notice of intended marriage in an Indian court. I was just wondering if my fiance or my Parents could submit the application on my behalf or do i have to be there physically to submit the application?  Please let me know if that is possible. Really appreciate your help in advance

Both parties have to be present in registrar office at the time of filing application, marriage cannot be solemnized in proxy this law applies all over the world.

if one party is not resident in India that party has to live in India for a period of 30 days minimum to solmonise the marriage

Dear Sir,

You may send your spouse with signed copy of application and request the registrar of marriage for your exemption from filing the application. However, you have to be present at the time of marriage solemnisation. It cannot be done by your wife alone or her relatives.
