Dear Sir,

Please tell your daughter to call 911 if she is in USA, if some other country then local police help line number. Tell her to file a complaint for illegally detaining her passport and illegally detaining her against her WILL. She may also allege domestic violence against the husband. On filing such complaint immediate action will be taken in foreign country by the police and her passport will be returned.

You cannot do anything from her except filing some police complaints. Police may also not take any action on your complaint as it is your daughter who has to file the complaint.

Indian laws are not applicable in abroad. It is a very delicate situation which may leads to breakdown of marriage which is absolutely unwanted situation. So please tell your daughter to hold her patience and wait till correct time comes.
