Hi,
I heard that if the wife is initiating the divorce petition (mutual consent option ruled out as the other party not ready for it) she can not ask for alimony. Is it possible to have maintenance claim if she is not initiating the divorce? Husband is working and having good income and wife is still studying and having no job. They are married for a year and half now and lived together for 6 months and then living separately. please advice.

It varies from circumstance wise. But in general sense wife is entitled to get maintenance even after getting divorce decree
