Working woman rights after marriage
« on: August 31, 2016, 05:45:45 AM »
Hi All,

I am 8 months married. I am working women and my salary is half of my husband's salary.
My Husband is not ready to take my any responsibility.
He wants equal share in each and every expense .
I am not able to save any thing for my future .
Do we have any laws for this??

the maintenance of the matrimonial home is the sole responsibility of the husband.

the earning of the wife is solely the wife's the husband cannot claim anything from it.

if you approach court the court will make him pay from running the house.

but there may be a downfall to your husband wife relationship. so you decide what to do

Dear Ma'am,

There is no law for this, its mutual understanding between the husband and wife. Initially to earn the trust in the relation one has to give up the things and try to work out the things. I hope gradually things will improve with time.

whatever a woman earns is considered to be her own and husband cant force her to give her salary to him.but for the sake of saving the relationship try to make him understand your position and if not go by his word.after a year or so when you both become parents things will change

It is absolutely personal terms and understanding between husband and wife. It can be understand from your post that situation has gone to such level due to your immoral demand of your husband, you have been forced to seek legal opinion.

Now, I can say that try to make your husband realize practically in all effort otherwise dark days are not so far. It is very true as said by other lawyers that husband is sole responsible for maintenance of his wife.
