I was working in a B.P.O company?
« on: November 25, 2016, 11:18:37 PM »
I was about to leave the company an was on notice period wher i had no need t go to the office until my term is over.i got an email from the company saying someone has raised a sexual haressment complain against u.i later got to knw the complain is fake as it was raised after the time frame the company has given like the complain is valid if it is raised in 15 days but the complain was raised a month later and also there was noone raising the complain,it was the company who was haressing me since i asked them for the details, they said come and we will tell u.but both of us know tht the complain was fake and tht they had done this purposely. Then my notice period was over in the same situation and i my term was ended but the company didnt agree the complain was fake neither they took any action against me.insted everyday i just got mails and calls from the company until my notice period was over. Can anybody tell me what would i have done or i was correct letting things go

Sexual harassment is a serious issue. Even if the company has raised any issue (even if it is fake) it is advisable to deny properly such allegations, otherwise it can go against you in future.

Regarding the 15 days time limit, I think (cannot confirm at this moment) there is no such time limit for raising the dispute. However, if such dispute is raised, you are entitled to get a copy of the actual complainant before giving your defense.

Assuming the company raised fake issues, may be it was to retain you further or to deprive you of all your legitimate dues after your separation with the company.
