Hi,
We are paying huge electricity bills since last few months. We have just paid 10k for Sept and Oct.We donot
use AC.We got our electronic equipments such as fridge and TV checked if they were faulty. But they were all fine.B ut the electrician told us that our geysers are very old and they are consuming lots of power.so,we did experiments and didn't use the geysers for a day.Surprisingly we found that the consumption was one third. We asked our landlord to get geysers changed.First he argued that he hasn't mentioned geyser in the agreement. When we showed him it's mentioned in the agreement,he directly refused to get anything done.Rather he is asking us to vacate the flat although we are in lease period.
Even the pipes are damaged in the bathroom.Water is leaking. But he is not ready to get the things done.
How should we deal with it?

Simple send a notice to landlord about all necessary repairs to be done within 15 days failing which you can do all necessary repair works and claim money from landlord after producing proper invoice to him. If he still fails to repay you then you can pay monthly rent to him after deducting the expenses incurred by you.
