Rights of mother within family
« on: December 22, 2016, 09:56:46 PM »
I want to know the rights of a mother and her say in her child's matters. If I find my husband's way of raising the child or his views about raising the child doesnot coincide with me, can I object? Though my husband loves the child a lot can I object if the child is not comfortable for e.g disturbing her in her sleep or about beating her. Can i ask him to participate in the duties of the child.?can i take my child to my native without my husband's consent if I find the environment is not safe for her?

Dear Ma'am,

You have all and equal rights on the child for the upbringing and welfare of the child, similar to the father. You can always ask him for anything and object to anything. Rest it depends, how your objection is taken by your husband. If you take permission then your husband may not allow you to take the child. I hope you understand that.

Your questions are so silly that legally I do not have to answer neither any law prevails but you must know that child belongs to both of you and both of your duties to upbringing the child in the best way and in best environment. Try to sort it out with your own else you have to separate with your husband along with your child and eventually claiming for maintenance for yourself and your daughter.

Actually things around my child have always been sensitive in my home. Things have escalated to my father at the dead of the night if I say anything against his opinion and I have been termed uncultured and psycho and my upbringing is being questioned because I dared to voice my opinion against my husband. These issues affect my child as well. So I am a bit terrified about the whole issue.
