Can my lawyer hire another lawyer to fight my case in court
« on: April 13, 2017, 09:35:24 PM »
Hello Respected lawyers,
I have a peculiar situation, I hired a lawyer who stays next door, for my family matter case, I signed the vakalatnama and appointed him, now since its very complicated case as stated by my lawyer, I see another lawyer appearing and handling all aspects of my case.

Is that allowed, because this other lawyer does not have authority from me.

My lawyer says it is allowed and i should just concentrate on the outcome of the case and not on functioning of court.

My question is is Vakalatnama a useless peace of paper?

As par bar Council Rules it is illegal, what your lawyer is doing.
There is a judgment on this a lawyer lost his license.

please tell your lawyer what he has done is against BAR Council Rules.

Dear Friend

Usually a Lawyer who filed Vakalatnama needs to be represent the case. Sometimes his associate may appear on behalf of his colleague and seek adjournments. If you have no faith on your advocate you may change him nicely.
