Hi,
My father had made a property deal of buying a house from a seller. My father paid a sum of 4 lakhs for buying the same property. It turns out, the seller had a loan against the same property, which he defaulted and the bank took possession of the property.
Now, after a period of 15 years, the person has returned 1 lakh, with 3 lakhs still pending. Now he is denying to return the money he owes. We do have documented proof of the transaction, but we did not go for legal ways to get back money since we trusted the people. However, now that trust has run out.
Since the time period from the deal to now is very long, I was wondering what legal options I have to get that money back.

Generally within 3 years a person can claim of money but in your case its been 15 years. Now when he did returned Rs.1 Lakh then another cause of action arose and you must file a money suit immediately

Sir i have purchased a commercial space from lucknow based builder through registered agreement to sell in july 2010 giving full and final payment but neighter he is furnishing regjstered sale deed nor handing over the possession of the space.in sep 2016 i get issued a legal notice through my advocate after a month he responded with an offer of registered sale deed and handing over tthe possession but demonded  to clear dues of 1075000 in various heads which are false and registered agreement to sell does not dicloses any dues lying due towards my end.sir plz sggest me what to do ..

If you have outstanding amount of consideration money in respect of property proposed to be purchased then you can reply him that you will pay him the balance consideration money on the date of delivery of possession as well as date of registration of property. No extra amount or escalated price is required to be paid to the developer.

Sir not any outstanding amount due full and final payment has been given at the time of registered agreement he is demonding forged amount of 1075000 in the name of parking space and other escalating charges...plz help me what to do
