Broker issue
« on: November 15, 2017, 02:39:40 AM »
Me and a few of my friends (bachelors) plan to live together around our college. We found a Broker who offered us a convenient flat nearby for 27k pm. From July. Brokerage is 25k and 1 lack safety deposit. And agreement for 1 year. After 4 months and settling in the broker forces us to leave on October end. Telling us we have one month to pack up and go. We spent some time during exams with difficulty and find another flat nearby. And we have contact with the owner for the new flat. The broker says he'll cut the October and November rent from the deposit. And give us the remaining. He doesn't respond to calls. And will take time to visit us again. We planned to move half way through November(before 15th November) since he agreed to take half the rent if we did so. But the issue is about the brokerage. Is it correct for him to take brokerage even after forcing us to leave just after 4 months of moving in for 1 year agreement. He has caused a lot of trouble forcing us to shift during exams. What's the best way to get rid of him and making the most of what we're supposed to pay. We don't want to pay brokerage or in other words, want it back. Is it ok to demand this ? Is it possible to demand something more that makes our lives easier ?

Broker is taking advantage of getting 4 fool tenants and exploiting them regularly. One you get into a flat in rent then dont leave the possession until and unless you they are making an agreement or refund you money. Otherwise let them file a suit for eviction against you all which will be costly and till then you all enjoy the property. Kick out the broker's illegal demand.
