Hi, I bought a flat in Oct. 2016 and agreement was done on 07/01/2017 and its possession date is Dec. 2018. After that builder provide me the first demand letter on 27/02/2017 for plinth, first & fourth slab collectively and my bank paid it by 27/4/2017. Now builder is asking interest for delayed days from 07/01/2017 to 27/4/2017. I asked them that you have provide me demand letter on 27/02/2017 then how can they calculate from 07/01/2017 ? They are saying that once agreement is done then with agreement they provided me first demand letter which i didn't received and as per them from that date we are liable to get amount from customer. Also first they calculate interest by 11% and then they changes as per agreement it mentioned 14%, is this right ?
When i told them that you didn't calculate properly and its not right and i told them that builder are trying to make loot with this way then they told me to cancel the flat and forcing me that we have started cancellation process. I don't want to cancel my flat. What should i do ?

In agreement its mention like below

20% To be paid within 10 days from the booking
20% To be paid on completion of plinth work
10% To be paid on first Slab
10% To be paid on forth Slab
10% To be paid on seventh Slab

Attaching my draft agreement letter few snippets also. Please advise on this.
