Negligence in Big Bazaar Store
« on: December 17, 2018, 10:34:48 PM »
Dear Sir,
I the undersigned residing in Hubballi along with my family. I want to draw your kind attention about the tragic accident/ incident which happened with my aged Mother on 26/03.2017 in Big Bazaar/Hubballi/Karnataka store and shattered the whole life of our family.

On 26/03/2017 I along with my family (i.e, my wife, Son, Daughter and my Mother) decided to visit Big Bazaar at Gokul Road, Hubballi (K.A). We reached Big Bazaar at around 06:45 pm we entered the store and were busy in shopping. In one section inside the store there was an open pit dug there about 5 feet of length and 3 feet of breadth and the pit was 3 feet deep. There was no protection to cover the open pit and also no sign board was there mentioning that some construction or repair work is going on. And also there was no rope there covering the open area.

My Mother who is 67 years old unknowingly stepped on the open pit and fell flat on her back. We family members were right behind her. Some of the store staff came and saw what happened and started shooting videos and snaps. Someone called 108 Ambulance and my Mother was shifted to hospital. Same night a complaint (MLC) was also lodged.
It was the legal duty of the Big Bazaar Store to take care and to maintain and secure the place so it would be safe for shoppers. The Big Bazaar Store wholly breached that duty, constituting negligence. Their negligence was the direct and proximate cause of my motherís injury and resulting to her physical damages and whole family mental disruption. Because of injuries and operation, my mother who was fit as a young person is not 100% healthy and is bed ridden.
With thousands expectations, I want guidelines in this matter. Can anyone help me?

                                                                                                                                           Vikram Dubey
                                                                                                                               Contact No: 9008072787
