It is truly said that without labor nothing prospers. Hard work is the key to success and I believe myself to be one of those people who put in a lot of effort in order to achieve their goals. In my persoanl opinion, the word that describes me the best is strong-willed. My name is Ankita Kumari and I am a second year law student at KIIT Law School in Bhubaneswar, currently pursuing BA.LLB (Hons).

Being an introvert, I hardly socialized while growing up. However, the profession that I chose demanded me to network with a lot of people. During the course of one year, I volunteered to be the leader of various projects set to us by our professors, did an internship with the legal cell of an NGO and undertook an online course in Legal Research & Writing. Being and introvert and trying to lead a bunch of people was definitely a painful task as it was something out of my comfort zone. I would not classify it as an experience that I enjoyed but as something that was really essential for my character development. Anyone who is a part of the legal profession would be well-versed with the fact that internships are of utmost importance for a law student.

Interning under an NGO which advocates for the rights of children with special needs gave me a huge deal of perspective into the the lives of such children. This is an experience which I really treasure as I got to understand the practical aspect of legal field for the very first time. Apart from this, I take a great amount of interest in research and writing. To understand various facets of legal research I undertook a course on Lawctopus which really helped me in gaining insight on research in general and legal research in particular.

I think being a disciplined and highly resolute individual can take us places. I have yet to achieve a lot in my life but I am very grateful for whatever has been given to me up until this point.
