My name is Pragya Singh. I am originally from Bihar but I was born and raised in West Bengal.I have completed my B.A.LL.B (Hons) from Department of Law, University of Calcutta and my LL.M from Kolkata Police Law Institute, University of Calcutta. Besides these, I have cleared the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) in 2023 and I have qualified the UGC NET (June) 2024, which makes me eligible for an Assistant Professorship and a Ph.D. program. These achievements have deepened my commitment to pursuing a career in law and academia.Teaching and research are where I see myself contributing, and each step forward in this field has felt like a fulfillment of a long-held goal.

In addition to my academic and professional qualifications, I am deeply passionate about reading and writing. My writing focuses especially on social issues that I feel are underrepresented or inadequately addressed.

Reading has always been my refuge. The pages of the novels of Russian writers give me my much needed solace.I am a great admirer of the works of authors such as Leo Tolstoy and Anton Chekhov. However, Fyodor Dostoevsky's writing hold a unique place for me. His exploration of human nature and moral complexity in his writings is simply on another level.

Beyond my books, I feel a deep connection to the mountains. There is a unique sense of vastness and tranquility in them that continually draws me in.Being in the mountains reminds me to pause and reflect; it is a place where I feel truly at peace, away from the noise of daily life.

In my journey ahead, whether as an educator, researcher, or writer, I aim to make a meaningful impact on the society.
