My name is Nikchen Tamang, a 2nd-year law student residing in Siliguri, West Bengal, pursuing B.A. LL. B Hons)5 years enrolled at
Department of Law, North Bengal University. I have done my schooling at Kumudini Homes, Kalimpong and my childhood days are very cheerful and memorable.
Iím an enthusiastic person from childhood only who try to do something new for the betterment of society.
During the course of more than 2 year in law school, I have taken special interest in varied laws of our country and the issues emerging thereof. I have taken up a lot of research works and have written a lot of articles and essays on various contemporary issues such as human trafficking, missing children,
under trial prisoners, etc.
During the 2 years of my law school, I participated in various Debates, actively took part in Collegeís Moot Court Society, completed internships, and various certificate courses, attend boot camps, and participated in various international conferences for presenting research papers and also doing Mentorship Programme 2022. Recently I also got a Scholarship for Summer School on Law and Ethics of Artificial Intelligence and participated there.
Iím also a member of the Insaf Legal Association, an NGO based out in Delhi and working for a social good cause.
My knack for research and writing is not only limited to the legal field. I have been actively involved in research, writing and social work on many issues from school time.
I am particularly interested in criminal and civil law and would like to gain a practical insight into the Nuances of litigation, research, drafting, and analytical skills. I consider myself an advocate in making and judicial aspirant.
