Nikchen Tamang

My name is Nikchen Tamang, a 2nd-year law student residing in Siliguri, West Bengal, pursuing B.A. LL. B Hons)5 years enrolled at Department of Law, North Bengal University. I have done my schooling at Kumudini Homes, Kalimpong and my childhood days are very cheerful and memorable.

I�m an enthusiastic person from childhood only who try to do something new for the betterment of society. During the course of more than 2 year in law school, I have taken special interest in varied laws of our country and the issues emerging thereof. I have taken up a lot of research works and have written a lot of articles and essays on various contemporary issues such as human trafficking, missing children, under trial prisoners, etc.

During the 2 years of my law school, I participated in various Debates, actively took part in College�s Moot Court Society, completed internships, and various certificate courses, attend boot camps, and participated in various international conferences for presenting research papers and also doing Mentorship Programme 2022. Recently I also got a Scholarship for Summer School on Law and Ethics of Artificial Intelligence and participated there.

I�m also a member of the Insaf Legal Association, an NGO based out in Delhi and working for a social good cause. My knack for research and writing is not only limited to the legal field. I have been actively involved in research, writing and social work on many issues from school time.

I am particularly interested in criminal and civil law and would like to gain a practical insight into the Nuances of litigation, research, drafting, and analytical skills. I consider myself an advocate in making and judicial aspirant. I want to extend my special thanks of gratitude to the legal service of India for publishing my articles.
